Stuart Alderson (born August 15, 1948 in Bishop Auckland ) is a retired English football player .
Career
Alderson came in August 1965 for a fee of £ 50 from Evenwood Town from the Northern League for the first division side Newcastle United . Usually used in the reserve team in the Central League , he came under coach Joe Harvey at the beginning of the 1966/67 season to a total of three league appearances in the professional team when the club was in relegation battle. After a year he left York again and continued his career in non-league football .
Alderson has been with the West Auckland Town amateur club for over 40 years , most recently as general manager . Among other things, he made a contribution to the processing of the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy , which West Auckland won in 1909 and 1911 in Turin , Italy ; In 2011, he and local business people bought one of the winners' medals at auction. During his term of office, among other things, the club's qualification for the first main round of the FA Cup 1998/99 and the finals in 2012 and 2014 for the FA Vase . For his longstanding honorary service, Alderson received the 2012 Arthur Clark Memorial Trophy from the Northern League .
