Stuart Musialik (born March 29, 1985 in Newcastle , New South Wales ) is an Australian football player . The midfielder has been under contract with A-League club Sydney FC since 2008 .
Club career
Musialik spent two years at the Australian Institute of Sport before he began his active career in 2003 with Newcastle United in the National Soccer League . After setting the league at the end of the season, the midfielder joined the Weston Workers Bears , with whom he reached the Grand Final of the Northern New South Wales State Football League , but there was subject to Broadmeadow Magic. In 2005 he returned to Newcastle after founding the professional league A-League and was able to earn a regular place there. In 2008 he was with the Jets Australian champions after defeating the Central Coast Mariners 1-0 in the Grand Final . After winning the title, he moved together with his teammate Mark Bridge to league rivals Sydney FC .
National team
Musialik took part with the U-20 national team at the 2005 Junior World Cup in the Netherlands. In the preliminary round from his team he was used in all three games and is highlighted in the technical report as a "team-friendly defensive midfielder with a good overview". With the Australian Olympic team (U-23) , the defensive midfielder qualified for the 2008 Olympic soccer tournament in China and was nominated for the final squad in July.
