Student foundation
A student foundation is a foundation for students - and by students.
Examples in Europe:

- The University of Hamburg Student Foundation is a student initiative that was founded in summer 2004.
- In 2007 the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences established a “student foundation” to award scholarships.
In contrast to z. B. For the German National Academic Foundation , these foundations are student initiatives. They are not university foundations .
In the USA there are student foundations at several universities, which are used in particular as an instrument to bind students emotionally to the university while they are still studying.
