The Sturgeon River is a right tributary of the Echoing River in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Manitoba .
The Sturgeon River has its source in northwestern Ontario. It initially flows south, later it turns west and flows through the Hudson Bay lowland in the extreme northwest of Ontario. It flows through the elongated Sturgeon Lake and then takes the Hayhurst River from the right and crosses the border to Manitoba. About 15 km across the border, the Sturgeon River flows into the Echoing River coming from the south. The Sturgeon River has a length of approximately 110 km.
