The Stuttgart Stallions ( 1. Stuttgarter Football Club Stallions eV - English: Stallion = stallion) were an American football team in the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart , which was founded in 1980. This made the Stallions the oldest football club in Baden-Württemberg.
The Stallions played in the 1st Bundesliga South from 1981 to 1983, in 1984 in the 2nd Bundesliga Middle , from 1986 to 1987 in the Regionalliga Mitte B , in 1988 in the Association League Baden-Württemberg , from 1989 to 1990 in the Association League Baden-Württemberg B, 1991 in the Regionalliga Mitte-Süd, 1992 in the 2nd Bundesliga Mitte, from 1993 to 1994 in the Regionalliga Baden-Württemberg, 1995 in the 2nd Bundesliga South and from 1996 to 1997 in the Regionalliga Mitte.
The Stuttgart Scorpions were founded as a competitor in 1982 . In the late 1980s, the Büsnau Bats were added to the suburb of Büsnau, which is known for its Max Planck Institute .
In 1997 the Stallions merged with the club, which had since been renamed from Büsnau Bats to Stuttgart Bats , in the Stuttgart Silver Arrows .
