The Sudetendeutsche Zeitung has been published weekly since 1951 (since 1952 in Munich ). The publisher is Sudetendeutsche Verlagsgesellschaft mbH , whose sole shareholder is the Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft . The editorial office is located in the Sudeten German House .

The 16- to 20-page sheet with the regional editions Reichenberger Zeitung , Neudeker Heimatbrief , Heimatbote for the district of Tachau , Heimatbote for the district of Bischofteinitz and Heimatruf for the districts of Bilin , Dux and Teplitz-Schönau provides information on current politics in the Czech Republic , Germany and Europe, in the state of Bavaria as well as about Sudeten German homeland politics, regional and folklore, culture, customs and the association work of the Landsmannschaft and the Sudeten German ideological communities. It has correspondents in Berlin , the sponsored city of Regensburg , Prague , the former state capital Reichenberg , Gablonz , Friedland , and Teplitz-Schönau and is considered the only German trade journal for German-Czech, Sudeten-German-Czech and Bavarian-Czech relations.

The editor-in-chief has been the journalist Herbert Fischer since January 1, 2003; he is also the sole managing director of the Sudetendeutschen Verlagsgesellschaft (HRB Munich 3796). In 1953 the circulation was 46,000 copies, in 1960 it was 25,000. Current figures are not known.
