The district Sujawal is an administrative district in Pakistan in the province of Sindh . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Sujawal .
The district has an area of 7335 km² and according to the 2017 census 781,967 inhabitants. The population density is 107 inhabitants / km². The Sindhi language is spoken by the majority in the district .
location
The district is located in the south of Sindh Province, which is located in southeastern Pakistan. The Indus borders the district to the west.

The district was created in 2013 from parts of the Thatta district .
Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017, the population grew by 2.23% annually. Around 11% of the population live in urban regions and around 89% in rural regions. 406,754 men, 375,193 women and 20 transgender people live in 153,018 households , which results in a gender ratio of 108.4 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus for Pakistan.
The literacy rate in the years 2014/15 among the population over 10 years of age was 36% (women: 21%, men: 51%) and thus below the average of the Sindh province of 60%.
