Alexander Gregor

Alexander Gregor (born September 20, 1969 in Datteln ) is a German actor and presenter . He became known through TV roles and appearances in show and musical productions .

Life

Alexander Gregor is the son of a car dealer and a saleswoman and lived in his place of birth until he was 25 years old. There he attended the municipal secondary school and took part in school performances. His first appearance in front of an audience was a play and the moderation of the final event of his class in 1986. After graduating from commercial college in 1989, he served in the Bundeswehr until 1993 , where he achieved the rank of staff sergeant . After his discharge from military service, he began studying civil engineering at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal , which he left in the third semester in 1994.

From 1995 to 2001 he completed his acting training at the acting school "Acting Studio and Film, Atelier Langhanke" founded by Joseph Franz Langhanke in 1944 in Berlin-Zehlendorf as a student of Teelke Langhanke. He finished his training with degrees as an actor and assistant director.

During his training he took part in plays, including "The Hairy Monkey" by Eugene O'Neill , "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams and "Salomé" by Oscar Wilde . There were also numerous works with pieces by, among others, Anton Chekhov , Friedrich Schiller , Hugo von Hofmannsthal .

Immediately after his training, he was asked by his fellow actor Frank Kessler to represent him at a show by the Stars in Concert production company based in the Estrel Hotel . His first public appearance was in the musical "All you need is Love - The Beatles Musical" in June 2002 in Ulm . He played the roles of "Music Producer Bert Kaempfert ", "Peter Eckhorn" and "Roadies Raymond".

Since then, Gregor has been working regularly as an actor and presenter in productions by Stars in Concert productions (producer Bernhard Kurz ). These include "All you need is Love - The Beatles Musical", "Thank you for the Music - the ABBA Story", " Elvis - The Musical" and "Rock around the clock - the Fifties Special".

Gregor has been moderating the show "Stars in Concert" as an interactive moderator on the video screen since 2018. The show "That`ll be the Day - the Buddy Holly Musical" wrote and staged Gregor together with the musician Ian Wood on behalf of Bernhard Kurz.

He had his first television appearance in 1998 in the ARD production Dr. Sommerfeld - News from the Bülowbogen .
