Sulaya (born January 26, 1982 ; real name Thomas Zolliker ) is a Swiss rapper from Schaffhausen .

Life

In 1995 Sulaya found her way to rap. In a Schaffhausen practice room he met other hip-hoppers from Schaffhausen, with whom he founded the SHS crew in 1998. It consisted of DJs, graffiti artists and rappers. In 1999, at the age of 17, he won the Swiss Freestyle Championships in the Palais X-Tra , where he was able to prevail against Bandit , among others . In 2002 he could be heard on the album Dorfgschichta with Toni Lonoce from the Swiss rap crew section Kuchikäschtli . Sulaya then worked as a support act for well-known artists such as Kool Savas , Masta Ace , Planet Asia or Stress . When shooting he learned the Independent - Label know Ruff Nuff Records, with whom he worked in the future. Sulaya achieved further notoriety in 2004 through a dispute with the Allschwil rap crew Brandhärd . In 2006 his first solo album MBS was released. After that it was quiet around him for a long time. It wasn't until September 2009 that he presented his second album 'De Tüfel und ich'. In addition, two videos were published for the songs Butterfly and Click Click Pow Pow Tshing Tshing .

On January 28, 2011 Sulaya released his third solo album Dä Sunne entgäge . Like its predecessors, the album was largely produced by Toe . The song Lüchtpetarde was released as a video single in December .
