Suluk , also Saluq ( Arabic سلوك), is a city and Nahiya in the Tall Abyad District , Syria , near the Turkish border. The place is first mentioned in a document in the early 13th century. The city itself had 7,825 inhabitants in 2004, the entire Nahiya 44,131 (2004).

During the Syrian civil war , the city was taken by various groups. Following the expulsion of ISIS , Suluk has been under the control of the YPG since June 2015 .

In October 2019, the city came under the control of Turkish and FSA troops in the course of the Turkish military offensive in northern Syria in 2019 .
