Sumisip is a municipality in the Province of Basilan, Philippines .

On March 29, 2008, twelve barangays became the municipality - Sumisip Babag (Babuan Island), Balanting, Boloh-boloh, Bukut-Umus, Kaumpurnah, Lanawan, Pisak-pisak, Saluping, Suligan (Babuan Island), Sulloh (Tapiantana), Tambulig Buton and Tong-Umus - the new township of Tabuan-Lasa was founded.

Parts of the Basilan Natural Biotic Area are on the territory of the municipality.
