The Basilan Natural Biotic Area is located on Basilan Island in the Philippines . It was established by Presidential Decree No. 321 on May 31, 2000. The reserve is located in the administrative areas of the municipalities of Lamitan City , Sumisip , Tipo-Tipo, and Isabela City , in mountainous terrain that rises over 1,000 meters above sea level.

The area covers an area of ​​4,497 hectares and a circumferential buffer zone of 2,019 hectares . It contains approximately 234 hectares of rainforest on Mount Mohadji and approximately 2,500 hectares of secondary rainforest . Notable types of Avifauna are on the island endemic Zamboanga Bülbül ( Ixos rufigularis ) which Philippinienpapageichen ( Loriculus philippensis ssp. Dohertyi ), the cobalt Irene ( Irena cyanogaster ssp. Melanochlamys ) which Philippinenwolltimalie ( Ptilocichla mindanensis ssp.
