Tipo-Tipo is a Filipino municipality in the province of Basilan .
In 2006, the municipalities of Al-Barka and Ungkaya Pukan were newly formed in the area of the municipality of Tipo-Tipo . This reduced the number of barangays from 39 to eleven.
Parts of the Basilan Natural Biotic Area are on the territory of the municipality.
