Sun International is a South African group of companies ( holding company ) listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange . It was founded on July 11, 1967 and is headquartered in Sandton . Today, many are Sun International hotels and casinos in Southern Africa conducted to study a turnover of 10.83 billion in 2014 border was reached and a profit of 749 million rand.

In early 2015, Sun International sold its hotels in Botswana , Lesotho , Namibia and Zambia to Minor International . These have been run as Avani Group hotels since mid-2015.
