The Supreme Court has its permanent seat in Islamabad . It also has a number of branch registrations where cases are heard. The Supreme Court has a number of de jure powers, as stated in the Constitution . Throughout several periods of military coups and constitutional suspensions, the Supreme Court has also stood out as the de facto controller of military violence.
