Susan Ruttan

Susan Ruttan (* 16th September 1950 in Oregon City , Oregon as Susan Dunrud ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Ruttan's family moved frequently when she was a child. At the age of 12 she saw her parents divorce, after which she was taken in by her grandmother. In 1974 to 1978, she joined the theater Staircase Repertory Company in Santa Cruz ( California on). She played her first television role in an episode of the series Bosom Buddies from 1981. In the television comedy After George (1983) she played one of the bigger roles. She also played a bigger role alongside Tim Matheson and Woody Harrelson in the 1987 horror film The Witches of Bay Cove .

From 1986 to 1993 Ruttan appeared in the television series LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials . That role earned her Emmy nominations in 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1990 . In 1989 and 1990 she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award . In 1988 she was also nominated for the Viewers for Quality Television Award . In the crime comedy Love Kills (1998), she starred at the side of Mario Van Peebles , Lesley Ann Warren , Daniel Baldwin and Lucy Liu . In the television film LA Law - The Movie (2002), she took on the same role of Roxanne Melman that she played in the underlying television series.

The actress married Melven Ruttan in 1967, who died in 1970. In 1990 she married the sound engineer Randy McDonald, from whom she divorced five years later. She adopted a son in 1992.
