Susan Schubert

Susan Schubert (born June 16, 1959 in Batoş , Romania ) is a German singer in the field of hits and folk music .

Life

Schubert belongs to the German-speaking minority of the Transylvanian Saxons and appeared on stage for the first time at the age of seven. In 1976 she won a hit competition in Romania. In 1978 she relocated to Germany and was discovered by Bernd Augener in the 1980s .

In 1985 she took part in the German preliminary rounds for the Grand Prix Eurovision with the title Longing for a feeling , 1991 with Du bist mehr and 1992 with Shalalaika . In 1997 she tried it at the Grand Prix of Folk Music with Vino with Peppino and in 2004 with More than Anything in the World , but she could not reach the final here.

Her repertoire includes hits, folk songs, evergreens and melancholy songs.
