Susana Solano
Susana Solano (born July 25, 1946 in Barcelona , Catalonia ) is a Spanish sculptor .
life and work
Solano studied from 1974 to 1980 at the Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi in Barcelona. In 1980 she had her first solo exhibition at the Fundació Joan Miró Museum .
In the 1980s, Susana Solano experimented with different materials (wood, plaster, steel, lead) and working methods ( welding , riveting , folding, hammering). Many of her works are handmade. Solano found the well-known larger-scale constructions in the mid-1980s. Susana Solano works in series.
