Susann Kuhfittig

Susann Kuhfittig (born September 1, 1965 in Zella-Mehlis ) is a former German cross-country skier who took part in competitions for the German Democratic Republic . She started for her home club SC Motor Zella-Mehlis and took part in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary .

Career

At the GDR ski championships in 1985 , at the age of 19, she was GDR runner-up over the 20 kilometers. With the second season of SC Motor Zella-Mehlis she was third in the relay competition. At the GDR ski championships in 1987 she won the GDR relay championship together with Simone Greiner-Petter and Annette Malter .

Together with her teammates Simone Greiner-Petter and Simone Opitz, she was nominated for the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary . She was allowed to start there over the 5 kilometers in the classic style, the 20 km in the free style and the 10 kilometers in the classic style. With the 23rd place she achieved her best result over the 10 kilometers. She took 37th place over the 5 kilometers and 38th place over the 20 kilometers.

Kuhfittig and the former biathlete Holger Wick have two sons, Robert and Thomas Wick , who were also active in competitive sports .
