Holger Wick (born September 12, 1962 in Gotha ) is a former German biathlete .

Holger Wick started during his active time for the ASK Vorwärts Oberhof . In 1982 he won the gold medal at the Junior World Championships as the final runner of the GDR relay with Ralf Göthel and Frank-Peter Roetsch . In the Biathlon World Cup he was able to achieve results among the top ten several times. Wick had his greatest international success when he took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo , where he finished 29th in the individual and fourth in the relay with Frank-Peter Roetsch, Matthias Jacob and Frank Ullrich . Nationally was 1984 his best year. Wick won the titles in individual (at the same time with Matthias Jacob) and sprint and also won silver in the relay competition with the Oberhofers. Last year he was runner-up behind Roetsch in the sprint and with Oberhof's second season he was third. With the second season of Oberhof, he won silver again in 1985 .

For the State Security of the GDR he worked under the code name "IM Gerd Schütze" as an unofficial employee and reported on his comrades in the ASK Oberhof.

After his active career, Wick remained connected to the sport. He is the coordinator for young athletes in the Thuringian Ski Association . With the former cross-country skier Susann Kuhfittig , he has two sons, Robert and Thomas , who were also active in competitive sports .
