Ralf Göthel (* 1962 ) is a former German biathlete .

Ralf Göthel started for Dynamo Zinnwald . He won the relay race title in Lahti in 1981 at the Junior World Championships with Frank-Peter Roetsch and Steffen Lindau, which he repeated in Minsk in 1982 with Rötsch and Holger Wick . He also won the sprint title in both years and bronze in 1981 and silver in singles in 1982. Nationally he won his first season title in 1983 , in 1984 he repeated this success as well as in 1985 and 1986 . In 1987 he won the relay bronze. In 1985 he was also runner-up behind Roetsch in the individual. It was also Göthel's most successful year internationally. BothIn 1985 he won the Biathlon World Championships in Ruhpolding with André Sehmisch , Matthias Jacob and Frank-Peter Roetsch behind the relay of the Soviet Union. In the individual, he just missed another medal in fourth place.

1986 Ralf Göthel was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
