GDR championships in biathlon 1987

The GDR biathlon championships were held for the 29th time in 1987 and took place from March 6th to 8th in the Oberhof biathlon stadium on the Rennsteig . Frank-Peter Roetsch won the competitions over 20 kilometers and in the sprint and thus became double champion for the second time since 1985. The ASK Vorwärts Oberhof won the season title again after four years. It was the fourth and last victory for Oberhof in the GDR championships.
