GDR championships in biathlon 1986

The GDR biathlon championships were held for the 28th time in 1986 and took place from February 26th to March 2nd in the Oberhof biathlon stadium on Rennsteig . Matthias Jacob won the competitions over 20 kilometers and in the sprint and thus became double champion. There were Jacobs single victories four and five and also his last. The SG Dynamo Zinnwald won their fourth title in a row and thus the seventeenth overall.
