GDR championships in biathlon 1977

The GDR biathlon championships were held for the 19th time in 1977 and took place from March 4th to 6th in the Zinnwald Hofmannsloch biathlon stadium. In the sprint, Klaus Siebert won his first title, over 20 kilometers Manfred Beer his only one. The championships were dominated by the SG Dynamo Zinnwald . Four of the six medals in the individual competitions were won by Zinnwald biathletes, in the relay competition the three relay teams took the medal ranks. Siebert won a total of two titles and finished second once.
