The German Biathlon Championships 2013 were held from September 5 to 8, 2013 in the Hohenzollern ski stadium on the Großer Arbersee near Langdorf and from September 12 to 15, 2013 in the Chiemgau-Arena in Ruhpolding . The organizer was the German Ski Association .

The most successful participant among the men was Arnd Peiffer with two titles and among the women Franziska Preuss with three titles, both of which also won the cup.

The competitions on September 13, 2013 were held together with the cross-country skiers and were not part of the official program of the German Biathlon Championships. The results were not taken into account in the cup ranking.

Attendees

German and foreign athletes who had been registered by their clubs or associations on the respective cut-off date were eligible to start. The placements of the guest starters were not included in the official national ranking. The age limit for the division into classes was 1992. All men and women born this year or before started in the senior class, while adolescents and juniors had to be born in 1993 at the earliest.

Andreas Birnbacher ( SC Schleching ) and Laura Dahlmeier ( SC Partenkirchen ) were absent from Langdorf due to injuries or illnesses, while Miriam Gössner ( SC Garmisch ) had to do without the assignment after her bicycle accident.

Similar to the World Cup, points were awarded for each of the total of six races, which were then added to a separate cup ranking. For men the first 25 places per discipline came into the evaluation, for women the first 15 places.
