Nicole Wötzel (born December 18, 1989 in Stollberg / Erzgeb. ) Is a former German biathlete.
She has been running biathlon since spring 2003. Nicole Wötzel celebrated her first successes in the age group 16 with second place in the overall ranking of the German Cup. At the Junior World Championship in Ruhpolding in 2008, she finished second in the individual race and won the gold medal in the relay with Janin and Maren Hammerschmidt . In 2009 at the Junior World Championships in Canmore , Nicole Wötzel, who actually traveled to Canada as a substitute, was junior world champion in singles and sprints. In the pursuit race and with the German relay, she won bronze.
Her change from junior to adult competitions took place in the 2008/09 season, where she took part in the German Biathlon Championship in Ruhpolding , Langdorf , and Oberhof in September 2008 .
