Philipp Nawrath took part in the Junior World Championships 2014 in Presque Isle and achieved two top ten results in addition to winning the relay. In the subsequent 2014/15 season he was 36th in the IBU Cup , with a 13th place as the best placement. In the 2016/17 season he achieved his best result with a third place in the sprint in Obertilliach and reached 19th place in the IBU Overall Cup . At the 2017 European Championships in Duszniki-Zdrój , he again achieved two top ten placements, one of them in the mixed relay. After the European Championships, he made his World Cup debut in Kontiolahti, Finland, and scored his first World Cup points in his first race with a 34th place.
In the following season Nawrath started at the season opener in Östersund , but missed the points. At the subsequent World Cup in Hochfilzen , he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with a ninth place in the sprint. At the subsequent World Cup in Annecy , he could no longer achieve a result in the points. After the turn of the year, Nawrath started in the IBU Cup and achieved some top ten results. In the overall ranking of the IBU Cup, he was able to improve by one place, to 18th place. In the overall World Cup ranking he reached the 60th place. At the European Championships in 2018 he achieved a 17th place in the sprint as the best result.
