Tobias Hermann (born April 11, 1991 in Villingen ) is a German biathlete .

Tobias Hermann lives in Gütenbach , starts for the SC Gütenbach and, as a sports soldier, belongs to the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Todtnau-Fahl . He started biathlon in 2000. His career suffered an early setback in the summer of 2010 when he contracted Pfeiffer's glandular fever . Thus, he could run his first international championship only at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě , where Hermann was 53rd of the individual, 29th of the sprint and 14th of the pursuit. A year later in Kontiolahti came sixth in individual and pursuit as well as fifth in sprint and with Roman Rees , Steffen Bartscher and Johannes Kühn in the relay race.

In the 2012/13 season , Hermann made his debut in the IBU Cup , where he not only won points in his first sprint in sixth place, but also made it into the top ten. In the pursuit race based on this, he was fourth and only missed a first podium position by seven seconds against Timofei Lapschin . He achieved this at the side of Carolin Hennecke , Evi Sachsenbacher-Stehle and Daniel Böhm in Ostrow , where he finished second with the German mixed relay.

Hermann is also successful nationally. In 2011 and 2012 he won four titles at German junior championships and was twice runner-up. In addition, he won the overall ranking of the German Cup in 2012 and came second in the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup. At the senior championships in 2011 he was third in the relay race alongside Simon Schempp and Benedikt Doll .
