Suicide Room ( Sala Samobójców in Polish ) is a Polish film from 2011. The screenplay is by Jan Komasa , who also directed. The world premiere took place on February 12, 2011 at the 61st Berlinale .

The focus of the plot is Dominik Santorski, the only child of wealthy and ambitious parents who is about to graduate from a private school. His father is a senior ministerial official, his mother the tough boss of an advertising agency, and Dominik should do one thing above all: "work". After a series of humiliating experiences with another classmate, however, Dominik withdraws more and more into a virtual world in which there are no more spiteful classmates, but Sylwia, who takes him with her friends in the "Sala Samobójców" (Eng. "Suicide Hall") ) announces potential suicides to a chat room . Over time, Dominik no longer goes to school, does not leave his room and finally loses contact with reality. When he gets Sylwia, who wants to kill herself with an overdose of medication, the necessary pills, but she does not show up at the agreed meeting point, Dominik puts an end to his own life with the pills. What remains are his parents, who are slowly realizing that they have done something wrong, and Sylwia, who is returning to real life.
