Jan Komasa

Jan Komasa (born October 28, 1981 in Poznań ) is a Polish film director and screenwriter.

Life

He is the son of the actor Wiesław Komasa and the singer Gina Komasa. From 2001 he studied at the Łódź Film School .

His film Corpus Christi was submitted by Poland as an entry for the Academy Awards 2020 in the category Best International Film and was nominated in this category by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in mid-January 2020 . Jan Komasa became a member of the Academy at the end of June 2020.
