In March he took second place in the men's individual race at the German Youth and Junior Championship in Notschrei. In the cup standings for the German Cup, he reached fourth place. At the 2015 German Biathlon Championship in the Hohenzollern Ski Stadium , he was able to improve from 13th place in the sprint to seventh place in the pursuit.
In January 2016 he took third place in the sprint at the German Cup in Martell (South Tyrol) and then won the pursuit ahead of Michael Willeitner . In February he achieved a double victory in the German Cup in Ruhpolding with victories in the sprint and the mass start.
