Michael Hörl (born December 5, 1989 in Zell am See ) is an Austrian biathlete .

Michael Hörl from HSV Saalfelden contested his first races in the Junior European Cup at the start of the 2006/07 season. In 2008, the pupil took part in the Junior World Championships for the first time in Ruhpolding , where he was 64th in the individual and 13th in the Austrian relay. In 2008 Hörl contested his first race in the IBU Cup in Obertilliach , where he finished 82nd in a sprint. This was followed by participation in the 2009 Junior World Championships in Canmore , where the Austrian finished 32nd in the individual, 59th in the sprint and 57th in the pursuit. In 2010 he took part in his third Junior World Championship in Torsby . In the individual, Hörl took 37th place, in the sprint place 42, in the pursuit he was 39th and with the relay he came in fourth place. Shortly thereafter, he also took part in the 2010 European Junior Championships in Otepää , where he finished eighth in the singles and achieved his first top ten result at a major event. He also improved to twelfth place in the pursuit after only reaching 31st place in the sprint. For the relay race, he was appointed to the European Championship relay alongside Bernhard Leitinger , Julian Eberhard and Sven Grossegger and finished ninth with it. In 2010 he was appointed to the Austrian biathlon A-squad.
