GDR biathlon championships in 1988

The GDR championships in biathlon were held for the 30th time in 1988 and took place in Oberwiesenthal from March 16 to 19 . Frank-Peter Roetsch won the sprint title for the fourth time and his sixth individual title overall. It was also his last national title. Jürgen Wirth won his first and only individual title over 20 kilometers . The SG Dynamo Zinnwald won the season title for the 18th time after a year break.
