Susanna Gabojan

Susanna Gabojan ( Armenian Գաբոյան Սուսաննա , at the World Chess Federation FIDE Susanna Gaboyan ; born August 25, 1996 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian chess player who holds the title of International Women's Champion (WIM).

Life

Susanna Gabojan attended the Yerevan Chess Academy and was trained by Arsen Eghiassarjan. She studies at the Armenian State Institute for Physical Culture and Sport in Yerevan.

successes

She won many Armenian youth and junior championships in both girls' and open tournaments. In January 2015 she won the 70th Armenian Women's Individual Championship with 7 points from 9 games. At this championship she was only set to 7 in terms of the Elo number . In the following two years she was third.

For the Armenian women's national team, she played on the reserve board at the 2015 World Team Championship in Chengdu and the European Team Championship in Reykjavík in the same year .

She played club chess in the Armenian highest league for the women's team LEBO in 2014 and in the Georgian women's league in 2016. In Germany she played in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons for SC Bad Königshofen and in 2019/20 as a guest player in the 2nd women's Bundesliga for KissChess from Bad Kissingen .

Norms and Rating

She has had the WIM title since April 2018. She achieved the norms for this at the U18 World Cup for women in al-Ain in December 2013, with over-fulfillment at the U20 World Cup for women in Khanty-Mansiysk in September 2015, at the 1st Yerevan Open in October 2016 and again with over-fulfillment , in the B group of the Moscow Open in February 2018.

Her Elo number is 2211 (as of March 2020), which is also her highest Elo number to date.
