Susanne Pfisterer-Haas (* 1960 as Susanne Pfisterer ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Susanne Pfisterer-Haas studied Classical Archeology and Greek Philology at the University of Munich (LMU) between 1978 and 1988 and completed her studies with a doctorate ; The subject of the dissertation was the depictions of old women in Greek art . She then became a research assistant at the LMU until 1989. In 1989 she first became a research assistant at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences for the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum Germany (CVA) and worked on the black-figure jugs of the State Collection of Antiquities in Munich. In 1991 Pfisterer-Haas went to the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Munich as a research trainee , where she worked at the Staatliche Antikensammlungen as well as the State Collection of Egyptian Art and the Prehistoric State Collection until 1993 . In 1994 she became a research assistant at the Institute for Classical Archeology at the University of Leipzig . In addition to holding lectures and supervising the university, she was entrusted with the establishment of the Museum of Antiquities at the University of Leipzig and the creation of museum educational concepts. Since 2000 she has been working on the red-figure bowls of the Leipzig collection again as an employee of the CVA project of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences . From 2005 to 2009, the red-figure bowls from the Munich collection were processed. Since 2007 Pfisterer-Haas has also been a freelancer at the Museum Education Center in Munich, and since 2012 she has been a research assistant at the State Collection of Antiquities in Munich. Since 2013 she has also been teaching museum practice at the LMU.

Susanne Pfisterer-Haas is primarily concerned with Greek ceramics and vase painting . With three volumes of the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, she is one of the most active contributors to this important international long-term project in the German-speaking region. In addition, she deals with science education, in particular the conception and communication of archaeological topics in a museum context. With Elke Böhr , she wrote two children's books on characters from Greek mythology , which have also been published as audio books.
