Susanne Rahardt-Vahldieck

Susanne Rahardt-Vahldieck b. Rahardt (born February 23, 1953 in Hamburg ; † April 3, 2008 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). She was a member of the Hamburg Parliament and the German Bundestag .

Life and politics

Susanne Rahardt-Vahldieck studied law at the University of Hamburg and graduated in 1983 with the second state examination in law. She worked as a lawyer and was a deputy judge at the Hamburg Constitutional Court . She was married to the constitutional lawyer and also MP Heino Vahldieck . They had two children together. Her father was the member of parliament Friedrich Rahardt .

From 1974 to 1978 she belonged to the deputy of the authority for science and art and from 1978 to 1982 she was a member of the district assembly in Hamburg-Altona . During this time she was a member of the state executive committee of the Junge Union (JU) and was its state chairman in 1983. This made her the first woman to hold this post within a JU regional association in Germany. In 1984 she was a member of the CDU regional executive committee in Hamburg.

Rahardt-Vahldieck was a member of the Hamburg parliament from 1982 to 1990. She then switched to federal politics and was a member of the Bundestag from 1990 to 1994 .
