On January 26th, 2008 the first use in the European Cup followed (58th place in the giant slalom in Lenggries). There were initially no notable successes in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons. In February 2010 she won the German junior championship title in slalom in Zwiesel , followed by her first victory in an FIS race in December 2010. She took part in the 2011 Junior World Championships in Crans-Montana , where she finished 11th in giant slalom and 12th in slalom. In winter 2011/12 she began to establish herself in the European Cup, the best result was an 18th place in the slalom in Bad Wiessee . At the end of the season she drew attention to herself with two fourth places at the German championships in Zwiesel, which earned her admission to the B-team of the DSV.

On October 27, 2012, Weinbuchner started a World Cup race for the first time in Sölden . With the high starting number 58, she surprisingly finished 12th and immediately won her first World Cup points, with the third-best time in the second run. In the European Cup she reached her first podium place on January 7, 2013 as second in the giant slalom of Zinal . As a result, Weinbuchner struggled to catch up with the world's best. So she did not have a single countable result in the two following World Cup seasons. In the winter of 2015/16 she finished in the points once.
