Susanne Wimmer-Leonhardt

Susanne Wimmer-Leonhardt (born October 4, 1966 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German lawyer, SPD politician , Mayor of the city of Kaiserslautern and Vice President of the Rhineland-Palatinate Court of Auditors.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1986 at St.-Franziskus-Gymnasium and Realschule in her hometown, she completed a banking apprenticeship at Volksbank Kaiserslautern . From 1988 she studied law at Saarland University . In 1995 she received her doctorate in banking law . In 2003 habilitated they are in the group law, and was then to 2007 a lecturer at the University of Saarland. She is married and has a daughter.

Political career

Susanne Wimmer-Leonhardt has been Mayor and Head of Department of Kaiserslautern since 2007 . Her main tasks include the departments of culture as well as law and order, the municipal drainage and urban maintenance services in Kaiserslautern (SK) and the crime prevention council. In 2008 she joined the SPD. For the SPD, she holds the office of Deputy Chairwoman of the SPD City Association of Kaiserslautern. She is a member of the board of the Regional Association Palatinate, the regional board of the ASF and the board of the ASF Kaiserslautern. In August 2018 she became the Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate elected Vice-President of the Court of Rhineland-Palatinate and received in September, the certificate of appointment of Malu Dreyer , the Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate . She started her service in October 2018.
