Susie Boyt
Susie Boyt (born January 1969 in London ) is a British writer.
Life
Susie Boyt is the youngest of five children of the artist Suzy Boyt and of four who she had together with the artist Lucian Freud , a grandson of Sigmund Freud . Lucian Freud and Boyt's mother did not live together. Fourteen children of Lucian Freud are known, so Susie Boyt has ten half-siblings from this family. Not all of the children were models for him, but everyone he had with Suzy Boyt, including Susie Boyt.
After attending the Channing School for Girls and the Camden School for Girls, she studied English at St Catherine's College in Oxford (BA 1992). After a break, she wrote a master's thesis on Anglo-American literary relations at University College London and studied Henry James and John Berryman .
In 1995 she published her first novel, The Normal Man . In 2004 she declared Anne Tyler one of her role models, in 2012 she wrote under the influence of the novels of Elizabeth Taylor .
Boyt has a column in the Financial Times' features section .
Boyt is married to the film producer Tom Astor. You have two children.
