Through him he discovered folk music . Originally free music-making, more of a hobby, developed into a close musical partnership, which again led to serious CD productions. With the pianist Mikael Jöback he founded a trio called Tango Libre , which was later expanded to a quartet and in 1999 released a CD with arrangements by Jöback and Åberg. He also plays in the Ensemble Silfver, with which he recorded a CD of the same name, whose music ranges between folk and baroque music. He was artistic director of the Lyssna Festival in Kalmar for four years in the 1990s . In 2006 he was conductor and musical director of the opera project I natt! At the Vadstena Academy . I natt! with music from the 16th century and improvisations. He wrote music for theater performances and radio plays.
