Sven Eric Kastens (born January 29, 1982 in Hamburg ) is a German badminton player .

Athletic career

Kastens was a member of the German national badminton team at the Thomas Cup 2008 and Sudirman Cup 2009 . With the men's national team, he achieved bronze at the 2008 European team championship . He reached the 2nd round at the European Championships in 2008 , but then had to admit defeat to Scott Evans from Ireland with 19-21, 19-21. At the German Championships in 2008 , 2009 and 2011 he failed in the quarter-finals to Marc Zwiebler (2008, 2009) and Lukas Schmidt (2011). From the 2011/2012 season he was in action for SG EBT Berlin in the 1st Badminton Bundesliga . Currently (2017/18 season) he is active for VfB / SC Peine in the 2nd Badminton Bundesliga.
