Sven Kresin (born July 12, 1976 in Dieburg ) is a former German soccer player who was most recently under contract with TSV Landsberg .

Career

In his youth and two years in the first team, he played for his home club TS Ober-Roden, before moving to SG Egelsbach in 1995 in the Regionalliga Süd . He then worked for several years for the Bayern league team and later regional league club for the amateurs of TSV 1860 Munich . In the 2001/02 season he played for 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 in the 2nd Bundesliga. After a detour with the Stuttgarter Kickers , he came to Rot-Weiß Erfurt for two seasons . From 2005 to 2007 he played for Austria Lustenau , an Austrian second division club. At the age of 32, Kresin was employed for one season at the Franconian club 1. FC Nürnberg II and from 2008 to 2010 he played in the third soccer league at Wacker Burghausen . In August 2010 Kresin moved to TSV Landsberg in the Bavarian State League South and took over the position of player-coach.

In total, he played 38 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and 202 games in the regional league. There he scored 14 goals.

Coaching career

On August 18, 2010, Sven Kresin took over the head coach of TSV Landsberg from Jürgen Lugmair, who was dismissed from the club. He led the relegation-threatened team at the end of the 2010/11 season in 7th place in the Landesliga Süd with 50 points. In the following year, TSV under Sven Kresin got one point more and finished the season in 10th place.

The 2012/13 season was a success for Kresin and TSV Landsberg, who finished the table in 5th place with 58 points. This placement was topped in the 2013/14 season, in which the club won the championship with 74 points in the Landesliga Südwest and thus rose to the Bayernliga Süd for the second time in the club's history.

In the first year in the new league, TSV scored 51 points under his coach Kresin and ended up in 8th place - the best placement in the club's history. After successfully staying up in the 2015/16 season , he resigned from his position as head coach to focus more on his professional future.
