Sven Vanthourenhout
Sven Vanthourenhout (born January 14, 1981 in Beernem ) is a Belgian cyclist .
Sven Vanthourenhout achieved his greatest successes in cyclocross . He won the Belgian U23 championship in the 2000/2001 season and was then cyclocross world champion in his class. He was third in the 2004 and 2005 World Elite Championships. He won two rounds of the Superprestige racing series and one round of the Cyclocross World Cup and was able to take second place in the overall World Cup ranking in 2004/2005.
On the road , he was a member of international cycling teams from 2001 to 2013 , but could not achieve any significant placements.
Sven Vanthourenhout is the cousin of Dieter Vanthourenhout , who is also a cyclist.
