Swe Li Myint (born June 24, 1993 ) is a Myanmar athlete who competes in the middle-distance run .

Athletic career

Swe Li Myint gained her first international experience in 2009 when she won the bronze medal in the 800-meter run at the Asian Youth Games in Singapore in 2: 22.14 minutes . She qualified for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games there , where she finished seventh in the 1000 meter run with 3: 09.58 min. In 2013 she took part in the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw for the first time and won the bronze medal over 800 meters behind the Vietnamese Đỗ Thị Thảo and Vũ Thị Ly in 2: 08.20 minutes . In addition, she won the Myanmar 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 42.88 minutes, also bronze behind the teams from Thailand and Vietnam. Two years later she secured the silver medal behind the Vietnamese in at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore in 2: 10.21 minutes and came fourth in the 1,500 meter run in 4: 37.94 minutes. In 2016 she was allowed to take part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro thanks to a wildcard , but was eliminated there with 2: 16.98 minutes in the lead over 800 meters.

At the Southeast Asian Games in 2017 in Kuala Lumpur , she won the bronze medal over 800 meters behind the Vietnamese Vũ and Khuất Phương Anh in 2: 12.31 minutes . Two years later she was seventh at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 2: 14.48 minutes over 800 meters and also reached seventh place over 1500 meters in 5: 20.12 minutes.

In 2018, Myint became Myanmar champion in the 800 meter run.
