Svetlana Anatoljewna Panjutina ( Russian Светлана Анатольевна Панютина ; * December 8, 1967 ) is a former Russian biathlete .

Svetlana Panjutina is a physical education teacher and lives in Novosibirsk . The only 1.60 m tall Russian began biathlon in 1985. She had her first success at national level as third in the Soviet individual championships . It made its international debut after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the creation of new national associations in the 1992/93 season in Oberhof . As 20th of the sprint, she immediately won the first points and the relay race alongside Olga Simuschina , Jelena Belowa and Anfissa Reszowa . At the following World Cup station in Antholz she also reached the podium with the Russian relay as runner-up. The high point of the season was the Biathlon World Championships in 1993 in Borowetz . Panjutina won the bronze medal on the side of Olga Simuschina, Nadeschda Talanowa and Jelena Belowa behind the representations of the Czech Republic and France. In the team race she missed another medal with Reszowa, Panjutina and Belowa as fifth placed another medal. The Russian achieved her best placement in the World Cup in the following season as seventh of an individual in Pokljuka . Nevertheless, she missed the Olympic qualification . At the Biathlon World Championships in 1995 in Antholz, she reached 24th places in both the individual and sprint, with Nadezhda Talanova, Swetlana Pechorskaya and Anfissa Reszowa she was sixth in the relay. Until 1997 Panjutina came to further appearances in the World Cup, but could not establish itself permanently.
