Sylwia Katarzyna Bogacka (born October 3, 1981 in Jelenia Góra ) is a former Polish sports shooter .

successes

Sylwia Bogacka took part in the Olympic Games four times . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , she took 17th place with the small-bore rifle in a three-position fight over 50 m. Four years later , in Beijing , she improved to tenth place in this discipline and narrowly missed the finals. With the air rifle, she made it to the final, but did not get past the last and thus eighth place. In 2012 she made it into the finals in both competitions in London . In the three-position battle , she just missed a medal win as fourth with 681.9 points. The competition with the air rifle was more successful, with 399 points in the qualification and 103.2 points in the finals, with a total of 502.2 points, winning the silver medal behind Yi Siling . In 2016, in Rio de Janeiro , she finished the competition in three-position combat in 40th place and in air rifle shooting in 23rd place.

In 2006 she was runner-up in the three-position battle at the World Championships in Zagreb . With the team she secured the title win in a three-position battle in Munich in 2010 and bronze in the prone position.

Bogacka is a corporal soldier in the Polish Armed Forces .
