The synagogue in Weilburg , a town in the Hessian district Limburg-Weilburg , was established in the former administrative building in 1844/45. The profaned synagogue at Bogengasse 2/4 is a protected cultural monument .

history

The synagogue was inaugurated on May 9, 1845. The former dining room was expanded into a synagogue, with the gallery being used as a women's gallery . The synagogue received an organ .

In September 1938 the synagogue building was sold to a Weilburg merchant and then converted into a residential building. The sale did not destroy the building during the November pogrom in 1938 .
