The synagogue in Küps , a market in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria , was built in 1769 on the site of a previous building. The secular synagogue is a protected monument .

history

The synagogue at Am Hirtengraben 1 was used until around 1870. From 1874 the building was used as a warehouse. The teacher's apartment was built on the south side.

In 1900 the synagogue was partially demolished and a gymnasium was built on the site , in which part of the synagogue's inscription panels were installed.

The building has served as the parish hall of the Protestant parish since the 1980s and is known as the Luther Hall .
