The synagogue in Sarrebourg , a French commune in the Moselle department in the historic Lorraine region , was built between 1845 and 1857. The synagogue at number 12 rue du Sauvage has been classified as a Monument historique since 1983 .

history

The synagogue was devastated by the German occupiers during the Second World War and repurposed. In the 1950s the building was renovated and since then it has been used again by the small Jewish community for church services.
