Szabolcs Szöllősi (born January 28, 1989 in Békéscsaba ) is a Hungarian handball player .

Career

Szöllősi played for Békéscsabai BDSK in his youth. In 2005, the circle runner was signed by the Hungarian top club KC Veszprém and made his debut in the first division in 2007. After winning the championship in 2008, he moved to league competitor Csurgói KK , with whom he reached the group stage in the EHF Europe Cup 2013/14 . In 2013 and 2014, the right-hander was in the semi-finals of the domestic play-offs. He has been under contract with Tatabánya KC since summer 2015 .

Szöllősi made his debut in the Hungarian national team on June 8, 2011 against Bosnia-Herzegovina . He finished sixth at the 2012 European Championship and eighth place at the 2013 World Championship and the 2014 European Championship . He has played a total of 54 international matches so far , scoring 87 goals.
